As the case goes to trial, Chiara and Ludo weigh their options for the future and scour Rome for the one person who could help bring Fiore to justice.
A few months later, the trial begins. Simonetta, Fiore, and Damiano are on the stand. Ludovica and Brando provide depositions. Ludo says that Fiore manipulated her.
Fiore's defense lawyer managed to reverse the situation, attributing responsibility to Damiano. According to Fiore's version, Damiano was the one who introduced the girls to him with the idea of earning money through prostitution.
Monica stays next to Damiano during the trial, and believes her stepson when he tells her that he only learned of Ludo and Chiara's secret life at a later time. In a moment of confusion, Monica will find Damiano in front of the his mother's grave.
Ludovica, meanwhile, has been admitted to one of the best comic schools in the world which is located in Paris. Her entry depends on the final exams, but all this seems irrelevant in the face of the risk of losing her mother. If Simonetta is found guilty, she will go to prison.
Fiore tries to portray himself as the man who wanted to persuade Ludo to stop prostitution: everything he did for her, according to her, was out of love. However, Natalia enters the courtroom and testifies against Fiore, disproving all of his claims and defending the girls.
Simonetta goes to prison. Ludo passes her exams and can go to school. Damiano moves in with Monica and gives his relationship with Aurora a chance.
